Candida Doth Torment Me

Candida Albicans bacteria must have awareness. Those little yeast-causing creatures must know that all it takes for my life to fall apart is for me to wake up with the signs of yeast infection. You know what I mean. Cottage-cheese like discharge accompanied by an itch that cannot be relieved by any amount of scratching.

Where do these creatures come from? It turns out that the vagina has many species of bacteria that live there and help to keep the vaginal environment healthy. However, when the vaginal environment changes, the bacteria that keep us healthy grow lower in numbers while the yeast-causing becomes more Basically, they get a little too big for their britches, and the result sometimes they get a little to big for their britches and decide to breed like crazy.

Yeast to live on the moist surfaces of our bodies, such as our mouths and vaginas. You mostly hear about vaginal yeast because it is so prevalent. The discovery and development of antibiotics, although a boon for medicine, also increases the likelihood of developing a yeast infection. Other factors besides antibiotics that cause yeast infections include

• Wearing tight clothing
• Not properly drying after a bath
• Not bathing enough
• Taking oral contraceptives
• Vaginal intercourse with inadequate lubrication
• Feminine hygiene sprays
• Douching
• Steroid medicines
• Greasy foods

All of us have been guilty of the above cardinal sins. The good news is that by avoiding some of these practices, we decrease our chances of having recurring yeast infections.
